"When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter" -

This can only mean one thing - and that is...

WinterFest time is upon us...

La Decorators de la Hallmark - no - I don't speak French either

Too many smiles to be tough work, eh?

Hallmark employees are in command as they clean and decorate

We have truck loads of decorations to put up - don't quit now...

There is some Holiday magic brewing here

With a little time taken out for some frivolity or

a photo to show the boss; "how really hard we are working!"

The process has begun - we invite everyone to come on down and help us decorate Sat. 15th and 22nd. We can't offer much except some fun and the

great satisfaction in performing some community service -

C'mon - get into the Holiday spirit with us...

SEPT 5TH  -  DAY OF CARING

Well folks - someone has to apologize for this late addition and my guess

is that it had better be the webmaster:-) These photographs dropped into

the chasm that is the studio with just a hint of a contributing "Senior Moment"!

These folks came to the Campus and attacked everything that didn't move

(and some that did). They did a splendid job of painting, cleaning, track management

and just name it and they performed to the ninth power.

We are always so appreciative of this collaborative effort and we have

a dedicated page with many photos that catch them in the act…

LAST OF THE PUMPKIN PATCH PHOTOS ARE IN...

Thank you to all who made this a happy occasion for the kids "of all ages"

We may have caught you in action (only good things:-)

Check out the Pumpkin Patch page here ---

Lets hope that all the Ghoulies

have gone to some "warmer place" for the winter

Rails to the Darkside was a huge success. We have a dedicated section

with the latest and greatest (and last) photographs - see ya next year...

And a motly crew they were...

Thanks to all of you ghoulies for the 2008 production of "Rails". We hope that you

all had a good time. You brought a fun project to life - so to speak - and we want

you to be sure and come back and see us when the grease paint has worn off...

*Cast members wanting a copy of this photo - click on the photo and you will have the

300dpi version paint your screen which, in turn, should give you a presentable 4"x6" copy from your printer.

 OCTOBER 24TH

HAVING AN AIRPORT NEXT TO THE MUSEUM HAS CERTAIN ADVANTAGES

A contented group of Pumpkin Patchers - and a pretty day to boot...

A Pumpkin Patch fly-in

The trolley passengers and crew pause for a photo-opp

Boys will be boys - Tim, no doubt, is fixing a misbehaving wooden train set

We had a first for Pumpkin Patch - a fly-in! Taking advantage of the proximity of the tracks to the airport, the flyers taxied to the Patch for a trip to the Museum Campus.

Talk of a future "fly-in clambake" at the Museum with an aero-club-meet sounds like a win-win for all. We do have trolley service from airport to Campus. Where else but at the Ct Trolley Museum :-)

Preproduction Participatory Preparation...

The Connecticut Trolley Museum Thespians prepare-

there is much to do before nightfall...

LOTS OF ACTIVITIES AFTER THE "PUMPKIN PICKEN"

Face painting and perhaps a tatoo-to-go is the M.O. for these young folk on this day.

Shades of Clark Kent or Bruce Wayne - the daylit CTM Campus is a benign and friendly place. But come nightfall - in the night - the transition to "The Other" is frightening - especially so for the evildoers among you...

Bring the youngsters down for the daylight happy activities - but beware that

dusk brings changes that the little ones should not see -- the evil lurks just outside...

OCTOBER 13TH - LABOR DAY AT THE PUMPKIN PATCH

This Dude concentrates on staying within the lines at the coloring table...

A good chance for the Moms to catch up on the summers activities...

And we are off to the Patch on the "Montréaller"

Ar-r-r matey, must be the the Patch that I be seeing on the portside...

"Hey Mom, I see my pumpkin already"

Life is full of decisions as this young fellow learns early on...

Monday at the Museum saw the continuation of the beautiful autumn weather. By all indications, many folks were taking full advantage and spending it with us at the Pumpkin Patch. The youngsters selected their winners and the adults had a chance to greet and meet old and new acquaintances. All in all ...a lovely day ...a lovely outing!

October 11 and it is Pumpkin Patch Time

Open car 355 does the duty this season - and isn't she a beauty...

Could the Connecticut weather be any more beautiful? Could the pumpkins be

any more orange? Could our visitors have any better of a time here at the CTM's Pumpkin Patch? Judging by the smiles, the comments and the multitude of

visitors - this year might be likened to the "perfect storm".

SEPTEMBER 17TH

The CTM hosted the September meeting of the Engineering Society of Western Mass.

Prior to their dinner and presentations - and after - they enjoyed a leisurely trolley ride.

These folks also made a very generous donation to the museum - we surmise that it is due to the superb interlocutor skills of Sheila and Xian (seen in the background :-)

Thank you all very much and we hope that you thoroughly enjoyed yourselves and will be back to see us again... "We get just a might prettier for the Holidays!!"
